Until the reign of Third Druk Gyalpo Jigme Dorji Wangchuck, the Bazur Lhakhang was previously a storehouse to store grains of the Royalty. However, it fell into disuse as the years passed by.  Responding to a plea from a worker at the storehouse, The Late Royal Grandmother Ashi Phuntsho Choden Wangchuck reinstated the storehouse as a Lhakhang for the community. Bazur Lhakhang is located under Drametse Gewog in Mongar Dzongkhag. It falls on the Drametse- Gongthung section of the trail. The trail is estimated to be about 14 kilometers long and will take roughly 8 hours to complete.
